Blade Halo 3.0KW (9HP) Outboard Motor

Torqueedo started the evolution, ePropulsion  took it to the next level with the spirit 1 plus with the  direct drive, high capacity floating battery.   The Blade halo outboards though have made another step change in portable power, performance , range and form factor with the later being more important than just looking good.

The easiest way to explain why these engines are so important is to look at what they replace.

Tenders

the 3kw (9hp) will get tenders on the plane whilst still being portable.  If you want to go faster, further, longer or have strong currents your only real choice was a 6hp petrol. Now you can have a service free, no pull start, very portable solution  with no servicing.

Please note the engine with battery is only 2.5kg more than the ePropulsion Spirit 1 plus but has up to3 x the power and 25% more internal battery  It is also lighter than the 6p petrol engines as shown below

Backup engines

This now we believe will become the engine of choice back up engine for boats on a single or twin axle braked trailer ie over 500kg to 2850kg ie the direct replacement for a 9hp petrol motor. Interestingly most engines problems are due to bad fuel so why would you have a petrol back up and you can have a Blade Halo 9Hp 3.0 kw electric outboard that has the same weight!

The slim line form factor means this engine will  fit on far more boats than a petrol or other electric outboards and still allow the engines to steer as there is simply more room.

Small fishing boats

The UK has loads of small  fishing boats in loads of different forms ie from open pike boats to cuddy boats like Arran 16, sea fishing boats like the Orkney strike liner and long liner.   The Blade Outboards 2kw is the perfect upgrade to replace the 5-6hp petrol motors.   As it is also silent starting the engine does also not scare any fish

Freshwater Fishing: 

With many people using small Pike/ salmon/ trout boats that have traditionally used 4-6hp . Now that the Blade Halo 9hp (3.0Kw) outboard has arrived we can provide a silent, long range, easy to use alternative that does not scare the fish off when started and does not need servicing

Sailing boats:  Now that we have a lightweight, 9hp equivalent electric outboard the Blade Halo 3.0Kw can be used on small sailing boats up to 3 tons as well as the tender and if used only for getting in and out of marinas far heavier boats.
