Ashton Marine Services have invested and tested the 2 leading electric  POD drive manufactures ( ePropulsion and Waterworld) due to the increasing popularity for a more simple and maintenance  free system.

These are not just replacing old shaft drive inboards as they are also increasingly being retro  fitted to a wide variety of boats including boats that have previously not had any propulsion.

The pod motors hydrodynamic shape minimizes drag while maximizing thrust and efficiency. This ensures a smooth ride and enhances manoeuvrability.

8.8kw fixed and steerable versions

19.8kw fixed and steerable versions

Both of these systems come with LED screens, top or side mount throttle and can be used with the manufactures batteries or 3^rd party running at 48v

They are also very simple to install and are fully plug and play solutions.
