Seaworks 2016

Seaworks 2016

Seaworks is the trade show for the commercial marine sector and having spend the day there we thought we would post a quick update on what we found:

Vanclaes: There stand was busy at the show and are clearly looking to expand further into the UK market. Their Stainless steel trailers that not only look fantastic but also come with some stunning great options ie disk breaks etc and are not that much more than a galvanised trailer.

Balex Marine:  The team were here for the first time with the remote control boat loading system that looks like a standard key fob for your car but recovers you boat onto the trailer. Perfect for people who struggle recovering the boat after a day out and a nice addition for people who simply want to make recovery easier.

Island RIB’s: These boats are simply stunning and interest was high at the show. The attention to detail and built quality is 2nd to none and the handling is the best we have been on in over 25 years.  If you are experienced RIB user and simply looking for the best handling RIB that money can buy then these guys are well worth speaking to.

F-RIB: No surprises here that the worlds only folding RIB was getting interest from a lot of safety officers and as a great option over the standard inflatables used as tenders.  We also expect a big official announcement soon . Please remember that one of these boats is also going round the uk for charity and is only 3.6 meters long. Thanks should also go to Suzuki for providing the only 20HP EFI outboard on market. Please see www.mrc2016.co.uk for more details

COX Marine: Wow, these clever people are developing a twin cylinder 300HP diesel outboard and had a prototype on display at the show.
